Information We Collect

To provide Seka services, we collect and process the following types of information, depending on which features you use.

Information you provide to us

  • Account Information: When you register via email, Google, Apple, or another supported login method, we collect information such as your email address, name, login identifier, and related account details provided by you or the relevant third-party authentication service. When you authenticate through Google or Apple, your email address is provided to us automatically by the third-party authentication service as part of the standard OAuth login flow. You do not manually enter your email address within the Seka interface during this process; rather, it is transmitted to us subject to the authorization you grant to the third-party login service. We may also process account status, language settings, security settings, restriction status, and account deletion request records.
  • Profile and Community Information: When you use Hub or profile features, we may collect your nickname, avatar, biography, author page information, Notes, Comments, likes, saves, follows, follower relationships, shares, reports, blocking or restriction actions, public interaction counts, draft status, moderation status, rejection reasons, and related community activity.
  • Translation Data: We collect texts, novels, documents, source files, translation settings, target languages, style or glossary selections, and related materials you submit for translation, reading, or project creation. This information is used to process, deliver, troubleshoot, secure, and improve translation and reading services.
  • Collab Project Data: If you create, join, view, manage, or participate in a Collab Project, we may collect project titles, author information, descriptions, previews, source files, rights declarations, target languages, Credits per reader, paid reader configuration, language version status, participation records, Credits deductions, refund records, reading entitlements, project status, copyright or rights complaints, freeze or unfreeze records, and related operational records.
  • Payment, Credits, and Entitlement Information: When you purchase Credits, join a Collab Project, receive a refund, or access paid digital content, we may collect order identifiers, product information, amount, currency, payment channel, store receipt or transaction status, Credits balance and ledger records, refund status, entitlement records, and related risk-control records. Payments may be processed by third-party providers or app store platforms such as Apple, Google, Stripe, PayPal, or other supported processors.
  • Creator Studio, Project Settlement, and Payout Information: If you use creator-side Web workflows, we may collect project management records, Project Settlement records, payout requests, payout account information, verification status, compliance review information, payout status, payout failure reasons, freeze or release records, and related audit records.
  • Support, Reports, and Complaints: If you contact support, submit a report, make a copyright or rights complaint, appeal a moderation result, or participate in dispute handling, we may collect your contact information, communications, evidence, reported content, report reasons, complaint status, and handling records.

We may request permission to send push notifications regarding your account, translation status, Collab Project status, Credits, refunds, reading access, community interactions, reports, moderation results, or other application features. You may disable push notifications in your device settings at any time.

Information we obtain from third parties

  • Authentication partners: We may receive login and profile information (including your email address, name, and profile identifier) from services such as Google and Apple when you choose to authenticate through them. This information is provided by the third-party authentication service as part of the standard OAuth/login flow, and is necessary to create and manage your Seka account. Please review the relevant third-party privacy policies and terms for more information, including opt-out options where available.
