Seka Legal
Effective from: July 1, 2026
The following Terms and Conditions apply to your use of Seka, including the Seka website, mobile applications, Hub community, translation and reading services, collaborative translation projects, Credits, Creator Studio, Project Settlement, reporting tools, and any other content, functionality, or services offered on or through Seka.
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Seka. By accessing or using the Website, Application, Hub, Creator Studio, or any Seka service, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
To access and use certain features of Seka, including Credits purchases, Collab Project participation, posting Notes, commenting, following creators, inviting other users, browsing the Hub, managing content, or accessing Creator Studio, you may need to register for an account. You may register using a valid email address or supported third-party authentication services, including Google and Apple.
By registering through a third-party service, you authorize us to access and use basic profile information, such as your name and email address, as permitted by that service to create and maintain your Seka account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. Seka will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
You may not use another person’s account, impersonate any person or entity, misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity, or use Seka to evade account restrictions, content moderation, payment controls, copyright enforcement, or project settlement review.
Seka operates certain features on a pay-as-you-go basis using Credits. Users may purchase or recharge Credits through Seka-approved payment methods, including website payment channels or, where applicable, Apple In-App Purchase, Google Play Billing, or other platform-required payment methods for in-app digital content transactions.
Credits may be deducted for eligible Seka services, including translation services, Collab Project participation, reading access, and other digital content or service features that Seka may make available from time to time.
Credits are not money, stored value, a deposit, a bank account, a securities product, or a payment instrument outside Seka. Credits cannot be withdrawn, transferred between users, sold, exchanged for real currency, or used outside Seka.
If you purchase Credits or digital content through Apple, Google, or another platform provider, your purchase may also be governed by that provider’s terms, payment rules, refund processes, taxes, and store policies. Seka may store order identifiers, purchase status, product information, and entitlement records needed to provide the Services, but we do not store complete payment card information.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law, applicable platform store rules, or a specific Seka refund rule, purchases of virtual items, Credits, digital content, and consumed services are generally non-refundable after purchase or use.
For Collab Projects, refund handling may depend on project status. Seka may issue Credits refunds or other appropriate remedies when a project is cancelled before delivery, a language version cannot proceed, a duplicate payment is confirmed, a qualifying technical failure prevents delivery, or a copyright or rights dispute requires reversal. Once a Collab Project has reached delivery or reading access has been provided, refunds are not guaranteed unless required by applicable law or platform rules.
Each target language version of a Collab Project may be treated as a separate participation and entitlement record. Joining more than one target language version may result in separate Credits deductions, reading entitlements, refund records, and project status records.
If a purchase was made through Apple, Google, Stripe, PayPal, or another payment provider, refund processing may be subject to that provider’s rules and technical process. Seka may be unable to issue certain refunds directly if the platform provider controls the transaction.
When you complete a purchase on Seka, a transaction record is generated and associated with your account. You may access your purchase history, including order details, Credits balance changes, and transaction status, through your account interface or by contacting us at support@seka.one.
Seka does not issue invoices, tax invoices, or VAT invoices for Credits purchases or digital content transactions by default. Where required by applicable law, or upon a valid written request submitted to support@seka.one with sufficient transaction details, we may provide a payment confirmation or receipt at our discretion.
For payment confirmation, transaction inquiries, dispute support, or complaint handling, you may use the following as proof of purchase: your Seka account purchase history; order ID or transaction ID; payment provider receipt or statement; account records showing the transaction; Credits balance and usage records; or any other records generated by Seka systems related to your transaction. Seka may request additional verification information to process your inquiry.
The Hub is a community area where Collab Projects are published as posts that users may browse, discover, and join. Users may publish Notes, which are text-based posts separate from Collab Projects. Users may comment on posts and Notes, and may use features such as likes, saves, follows, follower lists, author pages, profile information, sharing, reports, and other interactions. Public Content you post or make available may be visible to other users and may be associated with your public profile, nickname, avatar, interaction counts, project records, and other public signals.
You are responsible for all User Content you submit, post, comment, upload, publish, or otherwise make available through Hub or any other part of the Services. You represent and warrant that you have all rights, licenses, permissions, and authority needed to submit, publish, or share such User Content.
You may not post, comment, upload, link, promote, or otherwise make available User Content that infringes rights, contains pirated or unauthorized works, includes malware, discloses another person’s private information, harasses or abuses others, contains hate speech or sexually exploitative content, promotes illegal activity, directs users to off-platform transactions, includes spam or unauthorized advertising, or otherwise violates these Terms or applicable law.
Seka does not guarantee that any Note, Comment, like, save, profile, Collab Project, author page, interaction count, recommendation, ranking, or community feature will remain available, visible, ranked, recommended, or unchanged. We may remove, hide, restrict, demote, label, limit, or disable User Content or accounts at any time to operate, protect, moderate, or improve the Services.
Collab Projects allow eligible creators or project initiators to create shared translation projects through supported Web workflows. Collab Projects are published as posts on the Hub, where users may discover, join, and read eligible project results. App users may discover Collab Projects through the Hub or other supported Seka surfaces, join eligible target language versions, pay Credits where required, view participation status, and access eligible reading results. App surfaces do not provide Creator Studio, Project Settlement, Available for Payout, Request Payout, payout account, withdrawal, or creator earnings entry points unless Seka expressly changes the applicable product scope and legal terms.
A creator or project initiator who creates a Collab Project must provide accurate project information and must have all rights, permissions, licenses, and authorizations needed for the source file, title, author information, descriptions, previews, translations, rights declarations, public display, reading delivery, and any related project use on Seka.
Seka may require a rights declaration, source file checks, content review, copyright review, automated moderation, manual review, or other risk checks before or after a Collab Project is displayed, joined, translated, delivered, settled, or paid out. Projects involving copyright complaints, suspected rights issues, refunds, disputes, fraud, prohibited content, or policy violations may be hidden, frozen, suspended, cancelled, limited, or removed.
A Collab Project may support one or more target languages. Each target language version may have independent participation, Credits payment, delivery, reading access, refund, and project status. A user may be allowed to join multiple target language versions of the same Note or project when supported by Seka.
Unless Seka expressly states otherwise, completion of a Collab Project provides eligible users with reading access within Seka and does not transfer ownership of the source work, translation, copyright, publication rights, download rights, or other intellectual property rights.
Seka may provide an invite feature that allows users to invite others to register for a Seka account. Invites establish a referral relationship between the inviting user and the invited user for identification and analytics purposes only.
Seka does not offer cash rewards, Credits, or any other incentives for inviting users. The invite feature is provided solely to help users connect with others on the platform. We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue the invite feature at any time.
You may not use the invite feature to send spam, unsolicited messages, or to invite users who do not know you personally. You may not create multiple accounts or use automated means to send invitations. Violations may result in restrictions on your account or termination of your access to the Services.
You may provide input to the Services and receive output from the Services based on that input. You may also submit Public Content through Hub and project-related content through Collab Projects. You are responsible for all User Content, including ensuring that it does not violate applicable law, third-party rights, Seka policies, or these Terms.
You agree not to submit, upload, post, comment, link, publish, or otherwise make available any User Content that:
Due to the nature of translation, automated systems, machine learning, and community-generated content, output or community content may not be unique, complete, accurate, lawful, safe, or appropriate for every use. Other users may receive similar output, and public community content may reflect the views of its authors rather than Seka.
Seka works to improve the Services, but translation outputs, project information, Notes, Comments, likes, saves, recommendations, and other content may contain errors or may not accurately reflect real people, places, facts, rights ownership, or project status. You are responsible for reviewing and evaluating content before relying on it.
For Private Translation Content, you grant Seka the rights reasonably necessary to provide, operate, secure, troubleshoot, support, deliver, and improve the Services; process source files; generate and store translation outputs; provide reading access; comply with law; and enforce these Terms and Seka policies.
For Public Content, including Notes, Comments, profile information, public project information, and public Collab Project materials, you grant Seka a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, publish, distribute, translate, modify for formatting, excerpt, recommend, share, and otherwise use such Public Content for operating, promoting, moderating, and improving Seka and related Services.
For Collab Project content, you grant Seka the rights needed to host, review, process, translate, display, promote, share, make available, deliver, restrict, freeze, remove, and otherwise operate the Collab Project, including project cards, previews, rights declarations, language versions, participation status, reading access, and related operational records.
You retain whatever ownership rights you have in your User Content. The rights you grant to Seka do not transfer ownership of your original rights, but they allow Seka to operate the Services as described in these Terms. We may access, review, screen, moderate, edit for formatting, hide, restrict, remove, or delete User Content at any time if we believe doing so is necessary or appropriate.
Seka may use automated systems, manual review, user reports, copyright reports, safety signals, payment signals, project records, and other methods to detect, review, and moderate User Content, Collab Projects, accounts, interactions, and transactions.
Users may be provided tools to report Notes, Comments, likes, saves, profiles, Collab Projects, copyright or rights issues, harassment, spam, invites, or other violations. Seka may review reports and take action including no action, requesting more information, warning a user, hiding content, deleting content, restricting posting or commenting, restricting project participation, freezing a project, freezing Project Settlement, restricting payout, suspending an account, or terminating an account.
We may provide users with notices, rejection reasons, or resubmission options where appropriate, but we are not required to provide detailed moderation explanations if doing so could compromise safety, security, copyright enforcement, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
When you submit any User Content, source file, project information, Note, Comment, like, save, profile content, rights declaration, or other material to Seka, you represent and warrant that you own the relevant rights or have obtained all necessary permissions, licenses, consents, and clearances for the uses contemplated by these Terms.
No use of Seka transfers to you any rights in the Seka platform, Seka technology, Seka brand, Seka user interface, Seka content, third-party materials, source works owned by others, or translations except for the limited access or use rights expressly provided by Seka.
We respect the intellectual property and other rights of others, and we ask our users to do the same. If you believe that your work, rights, likeness, private information, or other protected material has been copied, translated, posted, used, or made available through Seka in a way that violates your rights, you should notify us at support@seka.one.
We may process and investigate notices of alleged infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) and other applicable intellectual property, platform, and local laws. A written notification should identify the claimed work or right, the allegedly infringing content or project, your contact information, your authority to act, and any other information reasonably needed for review.
During rights review, Seka may hide or remove Notes, Comments, profiles, project cards, source files, translations, reading access, or Collab Projects; pause Join functionality; suspend delivery; request rights documentation; freeze Project Settlement; restrict Payout; reverse Credits transactions where appropriate; or take other measures needed to protect users, rights holders, Seka, and third parties.
Certain creator-side Collab Projects may be eligible for Project Settlement through Web Creator Studio. Project Settlement is separate from Credits. Credits cannot be converted into Project Settlement, real money, payout balance, or any cash-equivalent account.
Final settlement is calculated only after applicable project completion, content review, refund checks, dispute review, copyright review, and payout compliance verification. Settlement may be delayed, adjusted, frozen, reversed, or cancelled if a project involves suspected fraud, refunds, chargebacks, copyright complaints, rights disputes, prohibited content, platform-policy issues, user complaints, or other risk signals.
Request Payout, payout account setup, verification, and related creator-side payment workflows are supported only through Web Creator Studio or other expressly supported Web workflows. App surfaces do not provide creator earnings, withdrawal, payout, Project Settlement, Available for Payout, Request Payout, payout account, or Web payout redirect entry points unless Seka expressly changes this scope.
Seka may link to or integrate third-party services, including authentication providers such as Google and Apple; payment providers such as Apple, Google, Stripe, PayPal, or other processors; app stores; analytics and advertising providers; cloud, translation, content moderation, security, KYC, payout, and customer support providers; and other websites or services.
These third-party services are not under our control. You acknowledge that we are not responsible for their accuracy, availability, privacy practices, payment rules, refund processes, copyright compliance, legality, or any other aspect of their content or services. The inclusion of a link, integration, login, payment option, or service provider does not imply endorsement unless expressly stated by Seka.
Under no circumstances will Seka be liable for content, materials, source works, third-party translations, user posts, comments, profiles, project information, links, services, or materials provided by third parties or other users. You must evaluate and bear all risks associated with your use of any content or materials made available through Seka.
Your use of Seka is at your sole risk. The platform, translation services, Hub Community, Collab Projects, Credits features, Creator Studio, Project Settlement workflows, and related services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, translation accuracy, content accuracy, uninterrupted availability, and non-infringement.
We are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages resulting from your use of Seka, including any loss related to translation output, user content, Collab Projects, payment status, project status, reading access, account restrictions, content moderation, rights disputes, Project Settlement, Payout, or third-party services, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Seka harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including attorney’s fees, arising from your User Content, source files, project information, rights declarations, Collab Projects, violation of these Terms, violation of law, misuse of the Services, or infringement of third-party rights.
These Terms become effective when you create a Seka account or begin using Seka and remain effective until terminated by you or by us.
You may request deletion of your account through supported account deletion channels or by contacting support@seka.one. Account deletion may affect your Credits, public profile, Notes, Comments, follows, saves, Collab Project participation, reading access, Creator Studio records, Project Settlement, Payout records, support records, and other account-related data.
After account deletion, Seka may delete, anonymize, restrict, or retain certain information as reasonably necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce these Terms, process refunds or chargebacks, preserve project and transaction records, review copyright complaints, protect safety and security, prevent fraud, complete audits, or maintain records required for Project Settlement and Payout compliance.
Seka reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your account, content, project access, payment access, posting ability, commenting ability, project creation ability, Project Settlement, Payout eligibility, or other features at any time if we believe your use is unauthorized, risky, unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, abusive, or otherwise violates these Terms or Seka policies.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to change or modify portions of these Terms at any time. If we do this, we will post the changes on the relevant page and update the date at the top of the Terms. Changes addressing new functions of the Services, legal requirements, safety, security, payment, copyright, or risk-control issues may become effective immediately. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you have questions regarding these Terms and Conditions, copyright or rights complaints, account deletion, Hub Community reports, Credits, Collab Projects, Project Settlement, or Payout-related policies, please contact us at support@seka.one.
